Strategic Advice for Business Owners

Strategic Advice for Business OwnersStrategic Advice for Business OwnersStrategic Advice for Business Owners

It's Lonely at the Top

Running a business isn't easy. There’s no "Owner's Manual" on the shelf with all the answers. All businesses are unique, but they run into common issues with people, financials, and strategy. There are some problems only a fellow CEO can help you answer.

What is Your Biggest Challenge Right Now?

  • Do you have a key employee who is holding you back?
  • Is your company suffering cash flow issues?
  • Do you need to work on improving your company culture?
  • Are your financials and reporting systems giving you fits?
  • Need help hiring and motivating a sales team?
  • Are you ready to do your first acquisition?
  • Have you been approached by a group interested in buying your company?

Quit Losing Sleep

Anyone who has ever run a business has lost sleep over a few of these big issues. Over my 35 year career, I've dealt with most of these common management issues dozens of times.  Been there, done that, and lost sleep over them myself.

Life is too short to be miserable at work. Talking a problem out with a peer who has had similar experiences is a very powerful and effective way to move from problem to solution, and to get back to having fun at work again.

All businesses have challenges and problems, and the toughest ones are usually centered around the categories of people, financials, or strategy.

These are issues that the owner is reluctant to ask his employees to help with, and having an experienced fellow business owner to bounce ideas and challenges off of in a quiet, confidential setting is an effective way of making progress.
